SPEAK LIFE HAWAI‘I
Initiating the conversation on teen suicide prevention and mental health.
WHO WE ARE
Here at Speak Life Hawai‘i, we are driven to initiating the conversation on suicide & mental health, engendering a more educated community, and providing resources for hope and healing for teens.
Speak Life Hawai‘i was created by four outstanding high school teenagers and emerged from the Center for Tomorrow's Leaders, a non-profit organization dedicated to engaging, equipping, and empowering the next generation of Hawai‘i's leaders.
OUR STORY
"We won't stop until no teens suffer in shame or silence."
Dealing with the challenges of the growing stigma around mental health requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Speak Life Hawai‘i emerged out of pursuit to inspire and support teenagers and young adults, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words.
Since its establishment in 2016, Speak Life Hawai'i aims to address a situation that plagues societies throughout our world: teen suicide.
